Swarm Learning Wiki
Swarm Learning (SL)
Seeks to use continuous student feedback to incrementally change a class over time that fits the needs of the students. Its mission is to teach students how to think, not what to think.
Ubiquity, mobility, adaptability, fluidity, autonomy, ambiguity, and collaboration.
SL Rules (Look then See)
Rule #1. Pay Attention. Students must be actively looking and seeing.
Rule #2. Remember. Students must remember what they are learning.
Rule #3. Pattern-Matching. Students must retain what they learned by creating pattern-matches in their mind. To do this, students must immediately apply what they have learned.
Elements of SL
#1. Hecastics (Function): What’s the intended effect?
#2. Bionomics (Form): What’s the structure?
